Speaking from that minority driven bonkers by, well honestly, most consumer video releases on any format, we all really appreciate when an auteur (or an auteur's eye of doom) goes the extra mile. It's so heartbreaking when wonderfully produced content gets so horked up during the "last mile" of delivery to our eyes and ears...especially for those of us who obsess over actually calibrating our playback equipment. So often, filmmakers fail to consider that the final steps in production are every bit as susceptible to "garbage in, garbage out" as the first day of shooting.
