If you're a seller, they nickel-and-dime you to death, and since eBay bought them several years ago, you're pretty much forced to use them and not allowed to use anyone else, which I really hate. While I happen to use it primarily (and have been at the raw end a few times for doing so), I must always make an effort to include as many people as possible. Admittedly I get a discount because I sell through Brown Paper Tickets, but I haven't had a problem with them in any case, or ever any difficulty getting someone on the phone anytime during business hours. But, from my experience only *buying* things, Paypal is awesome. I don't know why someone would be hesitant about buying (as opposed to selling) something with Paypal... other than maybe they are boycotting Paypal because Paypal sucks so much as a seller? I sometimes buy stuff from sellers that I suspect would otherwise be a little shady and I wouldn't want to give them my credit card, but I do definitely trust Paypal when it comes to fraud and security.
